Families,
Thank you for an engaging week with makeup Map testing, ASPIRE, Unified Tutorials and athletics in full swing, and a middle school girls' volleyball win! We are also excited to kick off Latinx Heritage Month, and our campus committee of students and educators is planning an engaging month of activities for our Aviator community.
Lastly, next week your students will bring home a letter, that describes their current academic levels on their assessments and their growth targets for this year. We are excited to focus on ensuring our Aviators fly high and grow! Please review this letter with your students, and discuss the commitments you and your Aviator will make to meet their growth targets.

Substance Abuse Meeting:
We invite all families to join us for a virtual call on September 28th at 5:00pm regarding a national trending behavior among middle and high school students: Substance Abuse and Vaping. The goal of this call is to educate families, provide resources in educating students, and align on our Campus and District policies regarding substance abuse. We look forward to continuing to educate students and families on trending concerns and behaviors and how we can best support our Aviators. More information on this call will be provided in next weeks family notes and on Social Media.

Hello Aviator Families! The Hobby campus is thrilled to announce that we've partnered up with Boys to Men, a free male mentorship program which teaches a curriculum that incorporates holistic, intergenerational, and asset-based mentoring practices and encourages community involvement, intensive self-reflection, positive critical thinking habits, and self-accountability. Mentorship will occur in a group setting during the school day and bilingual mentors are available. Space is limited, so if you're interested in enrolling your Aviator, please reach out to our Student Support Counselors Ms. Goodes (email: lauren.goodes@yesprep.org phone: 713-924-5501) and Ms. Perez (email: stephanie.perez@yesprep.org phone: 713-967-8420
