Intent to Return:

As we close out this school year we are excited to start planning for the 2024-2025 school year! All families will need to complete their annual intent to return survey in Skyward by 2/2 to share if they will be returning for next school year. If you are undecided still, there is an option in the survey to share more information. Please complete this survey ASAP so we can start planning for next school year! We will be doing a grade level competition and raffles for students who complete the survey on time.

College Field Trips:

All students who turned in a permission slip and money by 2/2 will be attending their grade level college trip on Friday, 2/9. Lunch is included!

Students who did not turn in their permission slip or do not plan to go on their trip will do normal schoolwork this day.

Family Reunion:

We are excited to host our annual Family Reunion for Black History Month. This year, we will have music, food, and games! Please join us on February 29th from 4:30 - 6:30pm in the Hobby parking lot.

We are pre-selling food for the event for $13. Please see the information below and reach out to Ms. Goodes with any questions regarding pre-sale.

STAAR Field Testing:

Next week, our 7^th and 8^th graders will participate in a practice STAAR Reading Exam. This will give us an opportunity to identify gaps for our Aviators, plan strategic interventions for the Spring semester, and give our Aviators the chance to experience the updated STAAR platform and question types. Please ensure your Aviator is present and on time on Wednesday and Thursday.

Upcoming Exams:

We’re kicking off Quarter 3 strong with intentional, strategic planning and interventions for our students. We can’t wait to see their hard work shine on upcoming exams. See the graphic for next week’s exams!

Happy Black History Month

During the Month of February, our Aviators will be ascending through the history of the Middle Passage through the land of Civil Rights and land on the Evolution of Black History Month.

Hello Aviator parents, this week in Athletics we will have:

Soccer practice begins on Monday, February 5th, 4:30pm at:

Parents will need to pick up players from the park not Hobby at 6:00pm.

The Athletic Department is still selling t-shirts. The prices are $15 for S-XL and $17 for 2XL and up.

The Athletic Department is selling Worlds Finest Chocolate Bars for $1. Please contact Coach Gipson if you are interested in purchasing some.
