Upcoming Exams:

Aviator Families, be sure your Aviator is present and ready to learn every single day! The following classes have Summative Assessments next week – which account for nearly 50% of a Quarter grade. Be sure your Aviator is on time and ready to show what they know!

Halloween Dress Expectations:

We invite all students to wear their school appropriate Halloween costumes on Tuesday, October 31st! Please see the attached post for expectations.

Drills:

Families, this week we hosted our monthly drills: Evacuation (fire) and Secure. Each month we practice these drills so that our campus remains safe and secure. Students are also able to practice appropriate safety measures and know how to respond in emergency situations.

 

Attendance:

Families, attendance is important to the success of your student in the classroom so that we can continue to ascend and grow!  To encourage strong attendance, we are starting our next incentive, which will impact squads. Students in squads with 100% attendance will color in a letter and once “Aviators” is spelled out they earn a prize. First prize is squad donuts. We will update on social media weekly the status of this competition!

 

 

 

 

Dia De Los Muertos

An ofrenda is a memorial to friends and family that have passed. It is traditionally set up for Dia De Los Muertos, which is celebrated on November 1^st and 2^nd. We invite our Aviator students and families to bring a picture of a passed loved one to be added to our campus ofrenda- this picture should be turned into the front office by Friday, October 25th. Please include your students name and Grade Level on the back of the picture so it can be returned.

 

Common Assessments:

We will be having common assessments November 11th-15th. Common assessments is a chance for us to see what our Aviators have learned in the first Semester, prepare for interventions where students are struggling, and celebrate, celebrate, celebrate!
