December 21st- January 8th- Winter Break
Tuesday, January 9th: Students return for an "A" Day
Monday, January 15th: Holiday No school Students/ Staff

Refer a Family:
Do you know a family that would be a great addition to our Aviator Family? We are looking for 6th – 9th grade students for the 2024-2025 school year! If you refer a family you will earn some YES Prep swag and also help our Aviator community grow!

Attendance:
Families, please be sure your Aviator is on time and present every day for school. Our campus attendance goal is 94.1% and we have seen a decline in attendance this past quarter. We want to ensure our aviators are ready for common assessments and STAAR this semester so it is vital that they are in class every day.

Quarter 2 Report Cards:
Report Cards for Quarter 2 will be released on January 12th. This will include Quarter 1, Quarter 2, and Semester 1 averages for every course. Report Cards can be found online through your student(s) Skyward account. We can’t wait to celebrate all of the Aviators who earned all A’s and B’s in our Honor Roll celebration at the end of January!
Working together:
College Initiative Vision:
In every school, we are committed to ensuring that college is accessible and available to ALL students, and we wholeheartedly commit to supporting ALL students in pursuit of the postsecondary pathway of their choice.
Let's open a dialogue with them about their college aspirations and goals. By working together, we can help them pave the way towards fulfilling their dreams. So, why wait? Let's start the conversation today and make sure our children are on the right path towards success.

Dress Code:
Our dress code policy allows us to increase school spirit and work to remove unnecessary distractions from the classroom. Students out of dress code must correct their dress code before being able to return to class. Below are some additional steps we take to support students to be in correct uniform:
- Students who come out of uniform spirit shirts are able to trade a cell phone or airpods to borrow a school shirt.
- Students in sweatpants/athletic wear or crocs/slides must call home for a change of clothes.
- Outerwear that is out of uniform will be collected from students at the beginning of the day and returned before dismissal.
- We are working to do another round of purchases for Hobby Crewneck Sweaters. We will include information on how to order in the coming weeks.
- If there are spirit days, or opportunities for students to wear clothes out of our daily dress expectations, we will update on Social Media and through Family Notes.
- If students earn free dress for attendance or other incentives, they will have a wristband to wear the day it is earned.
- Please help ensure your student is meeting dress code expectations each day, and reach out to the Front Office or Ms. Peck if you have any questions regarding the policy.
